What ’50 Shades Of Grey’ Taught Me About Love

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ll know that yesterday was Valentine’s Day.

This time last year, the movie version of ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ was released.  Do you remember the story?  It involves a young college graduate named Anastasia Steele who begins dating the successful businessman Christian Grey, only to discover that he is a sexual sadist who wants to lure her over to the dark side of his deepest desires.

But what you may not know is that this story of fetishism has been read by women the world over, and apparently they find it to be very erotic and emotionally fulfilling.  All I can conclude from that is that this story must be an encyclopaedia full of information about love.

So, in celebration of that very fact, I decided to make a video called “What 50 Shades Of Grey Taught Me About Love”.  Check it out!

I hope you guys enjoy this video – I had a lot of fun reminiscing and putting this together so it would mean the world to me if you would watch it, like it and even subscribe to my channel!  Also, if you have any of your own feelings about this story or love in general, then leave me a comment ‘cos I would love to hear from you.

Much love to all,

Lizzie x

That’s so lovely of you to say, thank you!
To be honest, my video kinda of takes the micky out of the film – the film doesn’t nothing to promote love or healthy relationships, so hopefully people understand that! But please do watch/like my video and let me know what you think! Also feel free to share it with you friends/followers because I’d love some more views and subscribers!

I felt this was a funny and clever video. We certainly may laugh at do much of the old stereotypes which are “in play” during this movie. I did read the first book and wrote a post about my opinion and re-blogged it when the movie came out. I have to say I didn’t mind it as much as “Gone Girl.” I felt there were no “good” people to root for and their baby would be a “demon spawn!”

Oh wow, I will definitely have to hunt down your blog post on the book – I’d love to read it!

I went to see “Gone Girl” last year, after not having read any synopsis or anything so I had no idea what to expect… But a lot of that movie irritated me as well! There was definitely no one that I really identified or rooted for! It was just so screwed up!
